Segundo Volante
Segundo Volante là roles ở vị trí DM và có 3 Duty là Defend, Support và Attack.
The ‘Segundo Volante’ is different from the Deep-Lying Playmaker in that their role is primarily a defensive one best suited to being paired with an Anchor Man, and is also different from the Ball-Winning Midfielder, in that they often run with the ball, or arrive with a late run, into the opposition area in much the same way a Box-to-Box Central Midfielder does.Định nghĩa Segundo Volante 1 cách dễ hiểu nhất đó là tiền vệ phòng ngự DMC đảm nhiệm vại trò của 1 tiền vệ tấn công ( khác với Box-to-box và BWM ), và đồng thời đảm nhiệm vai trò của 1 tiền vệ phòng ngự thực thụ ( khác với Deep-Lying-Playmaker)
Như vậy Segundo Volante sẽ hoạt đông hiệu quả nhất khi kết hợp với 1 cầu thủ khác ở vị trí DM. Không gian hoạt động của Segundo Volante sẽ rất rộng. Như trong hình bên dưới, Segunddo Volante là cầu thủ số 6 sẽ có vị trí cao hơn Anchor Man số 4 và anh ta sẽ có thể hỗ trợ cho tiền đạo hoặc cầu thủ đá cánh phía trên.

Carrilero
Carrilero là roles ở vị trí MC và chỉ có Duty là Support.
The Carrilero – or “Shutter” – is a supporting role more often than not utilised as part of a midfield three, or as two central midfielders in a diamond midfield. It is the job of these shutters to cover lateral areas of the pitch and link the defensive area with the attacking midfield area. This is what separates the Carrileros from a Box-to-Box Midfielder, as they are not expected to shuttle between boxes, but merely between lines of the midfield.
Carrilero có nhiệm vụ là cầu nối giữa phòng ngự và tấn công và có nhiệm vụ bọc lót ở biên khi các cầu thủ chạy cánh dâng lên tấn công. Nói 1 cách khác, Carrilero là tổng hợp giữa Defensive Midfielder, Roaming Playmaker và Box to box , chỉ khác 1 điểm là Carrilero sẽ không dâng lên quá cao.
Lưu ý là Role Carrilero chỉ xuất hiện khi bạn đá 3 tiền vệ (giăng ngang hoặc kim cương)

Mezzala
Mezzala là roles ở vị trí MC và có Duty là Support hoặc Attack
Similar to a Box-to-Box Midfielder but with less defensive responsibility, the Mezzala gets into attacking positions that an Inside Forward would usually be found in.Mezzala là cầu thủ chơi vị trí tiền vệ trung tâm và khi tấn công thì có xu hướng di chuyển vào khu vực mà 1 Inside Forward hay có mặt, nghĩa là cầu thủ này được phép chơi tự do và bỏ bớt vai trò phòng ngự.
Inverted Winger
Inverted Winger là roles ở vị trí MR hoặc ML và có Duty là Support hoặc Attack
The Inverted Winger aims to frequently cut inside into the attacking third to open up space for overlapping full-backs and to subsequently overload retreating defenders. The Inverted Winger works best when the player’s strongest foot is opposite to the side of the pitch he’s playing on.
With a Support Duty, the Inverted Winger will cut diagonally across the defence to play the ball through the middle while overloading defenders and defensive midfielders ahead of the penalty area.Roles này thì giống như Inside Forward nhưng xuất phát điểm thấp hơn.
